I was there first this time
Having just missed out on radio sonde V1650483, and this radio sonde predicted to land near New Alresford, my wife and I decided to got for coffee and cake and wait to see where this one would land.
The eventual landing site was not near New Alresford but back the way we had just come and some, new Bullington. Coffee consumed, we headed the 14km to Bullington. Once there, the signal was strong and I walked along a country lane to look for entry into the field where it had landed.
Having gained entry to the field, the location of the radio sonde was not obvious and I can usually see the red parachute quite easily from some distance. I followed the directions on the tracker and found it in a hollow secion of the field that hid everything nicely from the edge of the field.
The track of this radio sonde is recorded on radiosonde.info.
